The village of Dozza, between middle ages and street art

The village of Dozza is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy “and its center is a real open-air museum. Over 90 works, made by great artists, embellish the facades and walls of the houses. Since 1960, the Biennale of the “Muro Dipinto” is organized, an event that animates the village in September and that makes Dozza a unique village. The integrity of the original building fabric dating back to the Middle Ages remained preserved and the close symbiosis between the imposing fortress (whose cellars host the Emilia-Romagna Regional Enoteca) at the apex of the town and the underlying residential settlement, which follows the layout of the ancient walls, immediately communicating the harmony between nature and human intervention.
