From Il Cardello, house museum, to Senio River. Then uphill west of town and get back into Casola Valsenio and Cardello. Please note: bridge over Senio river at km 3,1 and an intense but short climb (300m) at km 9,9.

Il Cardello House Museum (1), where writer Alfredo Oriani lived most of his life, is a rare example of a noble home from IX century. Alfredo Oriani is considered father of cyclo-tourism, as in 1897 left for a long trip on his bycicle and got inspired for his most famous book “La bicicletta”. His bike is visible at the House Museum.
Garden of the Herbs is a botanical garden focused on officinal plants, hosting more than 500 varieties.
Valsenio Abbey (3) dates back to XI century.
