Borgo Tossignano
Borgo Tossignano, founded in 1198, is situated in the Santerno Valley, surrounded by the Regional Park.
This Municipality is made up of two centers: Borgo, at the bottom of the valley, and Tossignano facing the Gypsum Vein Regional Park.

The Gypsum Vein and the Santerno River are the landscape features characterizing the evironmental charm of the land and the history of this town.
The western entrance to the Gyspum Vein Regional Park is located in Borgo Tossignano: at La Casa del Fiume visitors center, in via Rineggio, information on the area and the park is provided as well as useful suggestions from the Environmental and Hiking Guide.

The territory of Borgo Tossignano is crossed by Santerno Valley Cycling Path: a scenic bike ride for any kind of cycling tourist who wishes to be surrounded by nature. Santerno Valley Cycling Path is a mixed trail of gravel and paved roads, connecting the plain of Imola area to the Appennines, from Mordano to Castel del Rio.

This traditional event for Mardi Gras on the last day of Carnival with Tossignano’s Polenta Fest and Borgo’s Maccheroni Fest reenact an ancient local rivalry with two parallel events.
